Ministry Purpose-Crisis Pregnancy

Sarah's House is a Christian Maternity Home and program in Simi Valley, Ca. for homeless expectant and single mothers. Our homes provide shelter, love and encouragement for women experiencing a crisis pregnancy who want to make positive changes in their lives.

Programs

Sarah's House was established in March of 1991. We are located in Simi Valley, California.

Our programs are designed to establish and promote a sense of responsibility in the women who reside with us. Our program includes weekly counseling with a Christian family counselor, classes on nutrition, birthing, financial management, adoption, home safety, single parenting, infant care, cooking and crafts. All classes are taught by a combination of lay volunteers and professionals.

Our goal is to provide our residents with the tools to begin a new life, headed in a positive direction. Each woman is guided through a series of programs which introduces them to new problem solving techniques and prepares them to begin making positive choices for their lives.

Each woman must follow established guidelines with regard to working, attending school and church, personal counseling and household chores.

Most importantly, we are seeking to show these women the love of Jesus Christ through our love and acceptance for them.
